This is My Life, Annie

I just received my International Register of Certificated Auditors certification for QMS 2000 internal auditing.

I suppose it is time that I accept that I am an auditor.

Being Annie Leibowitz was probably too lofty of a goal. Even getting one cover of Rolling Stone was probably too lofty.

I might be able to get the cover of American Socitey for Quality...

Since no one else will comment on my blog, I will comment on my blog.

It is amazing how easy it is to fall into a depressive cycle concerning creative pursuits. I think perhaps I won't quit photography all together, but at the same point in time, I would very much like to have more training.

Since Brooke's is out, then what? Where can I get training locally without actually attending a university or community college? That would be the ultimate goal, I think. Something over a couple of weekends, maybe. And something concentrated on what I need, not just general photography.

I don't know.

Hmmm. Interesting point. I just saw my wedding photos (they have been printed now) and at this point, digital has actually reached a point of being indistinguishable from analog if you have the right camera and know how to use it.

My photographer (Jennifer Dery, highly recommend her) uses a medium format digital camera, and she must have had it on super highest resolution, because it really is indistinguishible. I am amazed. The 16 x 20 is even perfect. Not a hint of pixilation. I am floored.

So, I might still sell my current equipment, but I would replace it with really good digital equipment. Does that make me a bad person?

Some community colleges offer 3 - 6 or more "weekend" or "Week night" classes in a variety of things - have you explored that option? Then you'd have a class format, often they have good teachers, and you'd have access to equipment...

I had wondered about that, but the only ones that I know of around here offer general courses and then more specific courses if you have the prerequisite courses. I haven't looking into it more than that, but I could. I do have the minor, so that might preempt me from having to take the intro courses and I could skip straight to the portrait classes, which is something I have NEVER had. Go figure.
