Hi

So our great city has decided to contribute $900,000.00 to the construction of a ten foot retaining wall along the landslide. Reason? It will protect their road (which has buckled at least five feet at this point.) Benefit? It will restore solid ground to our complex so that we can rebuild!!!

Construction is slated to start next week, but they have already fenced off The Pit and it looks all ready for construction and everything.

Excuse me. I have to pick my jaw up off the floor.

This is great. Maybe not perfect or timely. But great.

WOW! City governments helping people in a "concrete" way! I hope the construction goes fairly quickly and your mind is at ease even more quickly!

Wow!! Such love. Thank you all. We are pretty happy, but also reserved. The way they have done everything so far, there is just a concern that we will have more damage before they are completed. I am trying to go with the flow and wait it out at this point. Hopefully we will know for sure that we are safe within the next month or so.
