Norman is going to be Mad

I did a stupid thing last night. I got a haircut. I didn't go to Norman. I should ALWAYS go to Norman. I know that he is far away, but that shouldn't matter!! Norman understands my head. He understands my hair. He can translate "cut it all off" into "Wow! That's exactly what I always wanted!!"

"Sandra" could not. Plus, she told me I have dandruff and should buy a very expensive shampoo that she happens to sell. I have a very healthy scalp. I should have left right then, but I didn't.

Norman is going to be mad.

You have betrayed Norman.

You must pay.

Irony is, I will. For this crappy haircut, and for the fix-it from Norman in a month.

Here's a tip, kids, Quality is more important than the bottom line, than time, than frequency. Why? Because in the long run you are going to have to pay more, wait longer, and fix it more often if it wasn't quality to being with.

And people wonder why I am IN Quality. It just makes sense.

I know the feeling. I once betrayed Frank by cutting my own bangs. I sat there in guilt and finally said, "I cut my bangs."
Frank, "I know." Ahhhh, the pain still lingers!
So strong is the memory, that when on a recent trip abroad when neither my hairdrier nor the curling iron wanted to work with my adapter or the ship's (Actually the ship's melted!)I went natural and had bangs just a little too long, but dared not cut them myself for fear Frank would find out. This will be a life lesson you won't have to learn again!

I probably will learn it again, though. I love Norman, but he is very far away from me, so going to see him is a hassle. I need to either find someone good who is closer, or just bite the bullet and make a standing appointment in La Jolla.

but i really like norman...

I go for the Make an appointment before you leave strategy. That way you can check your calendar to see when you are free, but not put off making an appointment until you are desparate and go elsewhere.
This is a much needed Frank day.
